Dispensing and Sub Division
ACE offer a
variety of solutions to the familiar problems and issues
surrounding high containment, negative pressure
environments, whilst offering the flexibility of using
many different types of product containers. Offering
multi-chamber devices, ACE's experience allows the
sub-division or dispensing of products to weight in a
safe contained environment, systems have been validated
to as low as 10
(Ten) Ng/m³ (nanogrames per cubic metre) (TWA). |

DISPENSING & SUB-DIVISION
Isolator
The Dispensing & Sub-division
Isolator is designed to provide operator protection
during the handling of product with low OEL. The
Isolator is a self-contained unit with on board air
handling system and integrated control system.
The Isolator has a dedicated Air Handling plant to
provide the Double Chamber environment(s) with a
once-through airflow arrangement. This includes:-
|
■ |
Single centrifugal fan |
|
■ |
HEPA filtered Inlet and outlet
air |
|
■ |
Inlet air is a single cartridge
type filter |
|
■ |
Outlet air is a double high
capacity cassette type filter |
Operator vision panels provided on the Isolator with
glove ports ergonomically located, permit manipulation
of product, dispensing tools / materials during the
dispensing and sub division process. The Isolator system
is furnished with the active element of a split
butterfly valve, which allows the contained transfer of
products from drums to transfer canisters. Suitably
sized charge canisters fitted with the passive element
of the split butterfly valve are provided to complete
this contained transfer. A docking system to interface
the passive element with the active element of the split
butterfly system is also part of the control system for
the Isolator. |

TRIPLE CHAMBER CONTAINMENT SYSTEM
The Isolator is designed to
provide containment to enable the safe handling of
product and operates at a negative pressure to the
surrounding environment. The Isolator is facilitated
with an on-board air-handling system that provides a
vacuum ensuring any potential leaks are inward. In
addition to this there is a containment breach alarm
condition in which the fan speed is automatically
increased upon detection of a loss of vacuum. This
ensures that an inrush velocity of 0.5m/s is provided
through an open glove port.
Plant Supplied:-
This Triple chamber Sub-Division Isolator system
includes the following features: -
|
■ |
Main chamber, furnished with a
vision panel complete with glove ports and is a gull
wing type door. |
|
■ |
Bottom chamber panel, furnished
with two vision panels complete with glove ports and
has a hinged door to facilitate loading and
unloading of drums |
|
■ |
Rear loading chamber, furnished
with two vision panels either side fixed in place |
The device is designed specifically for the loading of
material in drums through the rear chamber and
dispensing of active product through a FIBC RTP bag
connection. The unit is designed to work under negative
(-ve) pressure. |
